How an understanding of the patient journey helped support the pre-launch for a COVID-19 drug

Less than 1 min read
The challenge

Our client wanted to understand the COVID-19 journey face mask – side view for HCPs and patients in order to inform the pre-launch activities/strategy for their antiviral drug.

The solution

We conducted:

Telephone depth interviews with COVID-19 treaters (Hospital and Community HCPs) and patients that had tested positive for COVID-19. Patients also completed mobile ethnography/video diaries prior to interviews. Our focus was on gaining a deep understanding of the emotional and behavioral disease/treatment journey from the point of view of both HCPs and patients.

The outputs

Our report provided a comprehensive understanding of the patient journey, with areas of key unmet needs identified at each step. Our recommendations focused on realistic next steps that are the ‘lowest hanging fruit’ for the client.

In addition, we delivered an interactive infographic and an animation, voiced over by a professional actor to ensure the team had a range of deliverable formats to full digest findings.
