Therapy Watch launches new tracker covering postpartum depression

18 October 2023

The new Therapy Watch Postpartum depression (PPD) study is the first tracker in the series to cover Psychiatry. This study seeks to explore treatment patterns in PPD, a condition with high prevalence and significant unmet needs.

PPD is often managed by a multidisciplinary team, therefore, to ensure comprehensive insights, we are conducting this study with Primary Care Physicians (PCP), Obstetrician-Gynecologists (OBGYN), and Psychiatrists across Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. Through online interviews, we will gather valuable information from 20 PCPs, 20 OBGYNs, and 60 Psychiatrists in Europe, as well as 15 PCPs, 15 OBGYNs, and 30 Psychiatrists in Canada.

The study will delve into various aspects of PPD, including current and previous episodes, alongside historic depression episodes where relevant. We will also explore treatment time scales, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, and the impact of PPD on patients’ lives.

Therapy Watch is a syndicated market tracking tool that provides market researchers and marketing teams and with real-world evidence into prescribing behaviors and market dynamics. Contact us today to learn more about our new PPD study and how it could help address your business questions.
