Therapy Watch is pleased to announce the readout of its first report covering Alzheimer’s disease. The first wave of this syndicated study covers US, Japan and Germany with a sample of 590 physicians reporting on their early Alzheimer’s disease (Mild Cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease and mild Alzheimer’s Dementia) patients.
Leveraging Patient Record Forms (PRFs) the report provides extensive insights into the diagnostic and treatment landscape of early Alzheimer’s disease captured from a diverse range of physicians involved in the care of these patients. Including PRFs from patients receiving the newest class of DMT treatments alongside patients receiving symptomatic treatments, the report includes insights on diagnostic testing practises, uptake of new treatments and how these are being used by different physicians, drivers of prescribing, and treatment journeys amongst many other metrics.
Future waves of the study will include increased geographical coverage to additional European and global markets as well as questionnaire enhancements to keep ahead of the rapidly changing diagnostic and treatment landscape of this therapy area.
Head of Therapy Watch Portfolio, Sarah Brown commented, “we are delighted to see the first results of our syndicated Alzheimer’s Therapy Watch study and how these results have positively impacted our clients understanding of this fast-changing therapy area. As newer treatments and diagnostics rapidly come to market tracking movements, uptake and patient experiences will be vital for any company with a presence in this space. We look forward to expanding this study as we go into the second wave, as we seek to help our clients understand the specific nuances of the complex business environment”.
