The global pandemic has highlighted the importance of good data visualisation in reporting a story. We have become accustomed to receiving daily statistics about the impact of COVID-19 – how we respond rests considerably on the data’s ability to persuade us to act in accordance with our government’s restrictions and guidelines.

Today’s market research teams have the same responsibility to present data in a way that helps businesses make good commercial decisions, especially in the global healthcare industry, where the stakes are high and the rewards considerable. In this webcast we share our approach to data storytelling with the use of a range of interactive tools and creative outputs. We focus on ways to elevate popular research programmes such as understanding the patient journey, segmentation and brand tracking.

The webcast is hosted by our Marketing Director Julie Denny, Associate Director, Jamie Laidlaw and Head of Design, Amanda Brent. Julie has over 20 years’ experience in marketing and has worked in marketing communications roles for The Wellcome Trust, Central Government Departments and Professional Services. Jamie has over 8 years’ experience in healthcare research working across a range of therapy areas and methodologies. He helps lead our internal qualitative analysis committee and regularly oversees the design of creative outputs such as animations, interactive dashboards and infographics. Amanda has over 10 years’ experience in creating a wide range of media types including film, animation, interactive, print, digital design and data visualisation.
