World Pharma Pricing and Market Access Congress 2019
Last month, Directors Brett Gardiner and Rachel Howard attended the World Pharma Pricing and Market Access Congress in Amsterdam.
This two-day event was attended by over 600 delegates, including a number of payers from Europe, the US and Latin America, plus representatives from the industry and other market access organizations. In the morning plenary sessions, we heard a range of perspectives on value, demonstrating that “value is in the eye of the beholder”. A major focus was the new challenges facing Health Technology Assessment (HTA) organizations in view of the expanding pipeline of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) such as cell and gene therapy.
Data Analytics & Insight Conference 2019
Last month Analytics Director Misti Paul attended the Data Analytics & Insight Conference in London.
The analytics industry is experiencing unparalleled growth, fueled by big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning and social media analysis. According to statistics provided by the Market Research Society, the analytics industry has experienced 350% growth since 2012. Key drivers of this growth have been disruptive innovation, exponential growth of data, data warehousing, architecture and analytics. However, the shortage of skilled analysts and data scientists remains a barrier in this industry. Many organisations are still learning and grappling with ways to integrate analytics in their business.
PMRC New Jersey round up 2019
Earlier this month, Director, Head of New York office, Liza Pliss and Associate Director, Emily Hoffman attended the Pharmaceutical Market Research Conference in Newark, New Jersey.
Liza Pliss and Cornelia Fuller, US Lead at Sanofi also co-presented the paper, ‘Optimizing your Digital Assets with UX Research.’ In this presentation, they discussed the topic of User Experience (sometimes referred to as UX) and Usability specifically as they relate to digital assets (such as websites, apps, and other digital tools). They covered what UX is, why it is important, and walked through a case study, focusing on a specific UX tool that was used to help design a website.
PMRC Europe round-up 2018
Earlier this month Director Paula Coyle and Associate Director An-hwa Lee attended the European Pharmaceutical Market Research Conference in Basel, Switzerland.
The event was well-received thanks to an agenda that included many thought-provoking sessions that addressed key industry issues and allowed attendees to enhance their knowledge. On day one of the conference An-hwa presented the paper ‘How to capture rare disease ‘moments-of-truth’ using online communities’ which demonstrated how, with careful set-up and management, online communities can be excellent methods for attaining an in-depth, meaningful understanding of patients with rare diseases. The session was well attended and received positive feedback from delegates.
