Research Partnership publishes new patient syndicated reports - Living with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease 2020

Research Partnership publishes new patient syndicated reports - Living with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease 2020

Living with Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and Crohn’s Disease (CD) are new patient syndicated reports which offer valuable insights into patient attitudes and behaviour towards their condition, treatments and unmet needs. These reports provide pharmaceutical companies with a strong, foundational knowledge and up-to-date insights on the UC and CD patient journeys.

With the increasing number of treatment options available to patients, such as biosimilars and JAK inhibitors, it is a good time to take stock of how patients view their journey living with UC or CD. The Living with UC and CD reports not only focus on the practical and emotional patient journeys, they also cover topics in detail such as treatment switching behaviour and sub-analysis of patient groups according to treatments (e.g. Advanced treatments vs. Non-advanced treatments).

Living with UC covers three regions, the 5EU (sample of 270 patients), US (106 patients) and Japan (56 patients). Living with CD covers two regions, the 5EU (266 patients) and Japan (55 patients). For both reports the methodologies consisted of 30-minute quantitative online interviews and a small sample of 30-minute qualitative telephone interviews. The 5EU UC and CD reports also include a patient segmentation analysis based on attitudinal and behavioural drivers.

Head of Living With, Mariel Metcalfe commented, “Research Partnership is committed to producing research which focuses on the voice of the patient, and to offer a more patient-centric view of what it is like to live with a long-term, life-changing illness. Our reports cover a wide range of therapy areas from Autoimmune, Dermatology and Gastroenterology, and we hope to expand the list of therapy areas year on year.”
