Research Partnership launches new patient Living with Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) EU report
Living with Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) EU is a study conducted amongst 275 adults with NASH / NAFLD in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and UK. The report consists of 30-minute quantitative online and qualitative telephone interviews with patients and will be available to purchase in the first quarter of 2019.
The report is intended to help pharmaceutical companies developing products in this disease area to gain a deeper understanding of how patients come to be diagnosed with NASH, how it impacts their day-to-day lives and what their attitudes and perceptions are towards the management of their condition.
Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a type of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in which inflammation and liver cell damage exists in addition to fat in the liver. It can lead to complications, such as cirrhosis and liver cancer. The prevalence of NAFLD in the general population ranges from 20% to 30% in Europe and will become the leading cause of liver transplantation in the next 10-20 years.
