In UK pharma market research, we often prioritise physician understanding over the voice of the patient. Physicians write the script and drive product revenues after all, so understanding their needs and behaviour is considered a higher priority. But improved understanding of the patient can provide key insights into their “buying cycle” and reveal new opportunities for a brand to differentiate. We learned this whilst analysing the findings from an online study carried out amongst UK patients being treated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
PMRG Annual National Conference 2013
National Harbor, USA March 10 -12, 2013
We were delighted to be exhibit and present a paper at this year’s PMRG Annual Conference in National Harbor, Maryland. Director Phil Rosenberg took to the stage with Stephen Murdock of Millenium Pharmaceuticals to present the paper “The Mobile Revolution – Rx Insights from an iPhone App.” The paper showcased findings of an experimental research project to test the use of a smartphone-based App as a data-gathering tool for short, qualitative insights into physician thinking at the moment of prescription.
