London employees enjoy annual summer day out 2019

July 5, 2019

This year’s summer day out was not for the faint-hearted. Our London team bravely participated in tree-climbing and other activities at Go Ape in Battersea Park.

summer-day-outEach team was assigned a name based on a tree-climbing animal and asked to dress in a manner appropriate to their team name. Half the teams went up into the trees in the morning, and the second half took part in team development games in the park. The games included minefield, plank walk and the blindfolded knot. There was also mini golf for those who weren’t keen on heights.

The treetop challenges lasted around 2 hours, testing our staff physically and mentally on one of the most adventurous treetop treks! The challenges included tree-to-tree crossing and zip wires along the highest platforms of all the Go Ape locations.

After an exciting and tiring day, all teams gathered in the pub garden for the announcement of best dressed/ costume and best team name. The winning team was Team Goats, and best-named team was the creative chimps with their name “Chimp Bizkit”!

The fun didn’t end there, everyone was then invited for a drink at a local pub, The Lighthouse in Battersea, where we all enjoyed some well-earned refreshments.

You can check out some more photos from the day on our Twitter page.
