BOBI awards 2021_RP finalistsWe are excited to announce that two of Research Partnership’s submissions for this year’s BOBI (Best of Business Intelligence) Awards have been highly commended and selected as finalists in both the ‘Best Patient-Centric Approach’ and ‘Analyst Team of the Year’ categories.

The ‘Best Patient-Centric Approach’ is awarded for a research project or analytical approach that has helped a company to put patients at the heart of decision-making. Submitted in partnership with Bristol Myers Squibb, ‘Evaluating the quality of life of patients living with head and neck cancer’ describes how Research Partnership and BMS worked together to capture the individual and shared experiences of H&N cancer and how the resulting market research findings are being used to drive patient-centred innovation, raise awareness and develop new patient support programmes. The entry was co-authored by Lara Lucchese, Associate Director at Bristol Myers Squibb and Research Partnership’s ethnography specialist, Mandira Kar.

Mandira commented, “We are delighted that this piece of work has been recognised. Our team worked closely with BMS to shine a light on the impact of H&N cancer on patients’ lives. By delivering empathetic and emotionally compelling research, we hope to affect change that’s truly patient-centric. Our thanks go to everyone that collaborated on this incredible project.”

The ‘Analyst Team of the Year’ is awarded to the team of analysts who have best showcased their skills in turning complex datasets into an interactive, engaging report that tells the story within the data. The team, led by Research Director Jenny Redfearn, included Helen Ansell (Associate Director), Anna Evison (Senior Research Executive), Zoe Clark (Research Executive), Zahrah Malik (Research Analyst), and Josh Nicholls (Analyst) with support from Amanda Brent, Head of Design.

Karen Swords, Director and Head of Research Partnership’s Quantitative Centre of Excellence commented, “I’m very proud of the work the whole team put into their entry. It was a difficult challenge which required them to apply a wide range of skills to a real-life case-study. They employed both tried and tested approaches as well as some newer and more creative solutions to get below the surface and uncover the hidden insights.”

The BOBI Awards were launched in 2006 and are the first and only healthcare-specific business intelligence awards scheme in the UK, giving professionals in the industry an opportunity to gain peer recognition for excellence. More information about the awards can be found on the BHBIA website. The results will be announced at the BHBIA virtual annual conference in May.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
