Events: EphMRA Annual Conference 2016 round-up

June 30, 2016

We were delighted to sponsor, attend and present at this year’s EphMRA Annual Conference in Frankfurt, Germany on 21 - 23 June. Representing Research Partnership were Senior Director Angela Duffy and Director and EphMRA board member Richard Head. Also in attendance was Associate Director An-Hwa Lee who, as a member of the EphMRA Learning and Development Committee, convened one of three of the pre-conference training workshops entitled ‘Medical Device Research: Leveraging current market research trends to optimise medical device lifecycle management.” EphMRA

The conference was well attended and opened with an inspiring presentation from author Jim Lawless, one of the world’s leading keynote speakers. During his thought-provoking presentation ‘Taming Tigers: Accomplishing Mission Impossible’ Jim talked about how accomplishing ‘mission impossible’ depends upon our ability to adapt and create disruptive changes, to seize opportunities, and above all empower others and inspire action.

Patient centricity was one of the key themes this year and was explored in a noteworthy session presented by Rachel Jones of AstraZeneca. Her paper ‘Delivering for patients by putting patients first’ explored the disconnection between those that develop treatments and the patients that seek to benefit from them and how this dynamic is now changing as patients move from ‘passengers’ to ‘co-designers’ in the drug development journey. Her thoughts on what the future may hold formed the basis for many conversations in the breaks and at the agency fair.

During the event Richard presented a short podium presentation about our mobile conference research tool Conference Live, which enables pharma to gather real-time feedback from physicians regarding their experience at medical conferences. Click here to find out more.

This year we were thrilled to sponsor the conference photography. Our team of photographers, decked in Research Partnership T-shirts made their way around the Kap Europa exhibition centre documenting the three day event for the post conference newsletter and photo-round up which will be available soon EphMRA members in August.

The conference was a great opportunity for regional and global pharmaceutical industry players to come together and discuss the pharmaceutical market research industry and we look forward to attending next year’s event. If you were unable to attend the conference, but would like to know more about the above services including ConferenceLive and market research training courses, contact us now.
