Research Partnership launches new patient Living with Rheumatoid Arthritis (EU & Japan) 2019 report
Living with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a quantitative study conducted online amongst 390 patients diagnosed with RA in the 5 EU markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK) and 55 patients in Japan. The report consists of 30-minute quantitative online and qualitative telephone interviews with patients. The qualitative interviews will be enhanced with insights generated from pre-interview patient exercises – such as patient diary entries - to capture in-the-moment feelings about living with rheumatoid arthritis. The report is an update on the existing Living with RA 2016 report and will be published in the 1st quarter of 2019.
The report is intended to help pharmaceutical companies understand the attitudes and unmet needs of people with RA and how current market dynamics, with the advent of new biologics/biosimilars and oral JAK inhibitors have affected patients’ views and behaviours towards their RA.
Head of Living With, Mariel Metcalfe commented, “The wider variety of treatments available for RA, such as oral JAKs and biosimilar variants, makes it more essential to capture how patients’ views and behaviours regarding treatments and unmet needs may have changed in light of these developments.”
Living with RA is just one in a series of reports offering comprehensive insight into the chronic disease patient journey from pre-diagnosis to stabilisation. The Living with RA US (a quantitative study conducted online amongst 500 patients), Atopic Dermatitis (US), Crohn’s (EU & US), Diabetes (LATAM), Lupus - SLE (EU & US), Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis - NASH (US), Psoriasis (EU), Psoriatic arthritis - PsA (EU) and Ulcerative Colitis (EU & US) reports are published and available to purchase. Living with AS (EU & US) and Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis - NASH (EU), will be launched in the 1st quarter of 2019.
