Research Partnership sends a cheque for $10,000 to Forever Angels
Helping them in their mission of caring for and improving the lives of orphans and abandoned infants in Tanzania
The Forever Angels baby home has, for the past 10 years, taken in and cared for hundreds of young children in Tanzania. In the last year alone, Forever Angels has received 20 new children into their care, seen 11 children adopted into new homes and helped return 8 children to their biological families.
The charity also has a wider goal to improve the lives of the families who are unable to care for their children. Forever Angels started ‘The Maisha Matters Project’, ‘Maisha’ in Swahili means ‘life’. The aim of this project is twofold; firstly to enable babies to stay at home with their families by providing them with weekly milk formula to stop malnutrition, secondly to support the family in setting up their own business so they can maintain caring for their child. Since the programme launched they have had some wonderful results, to name a few, 40 babies have been admitted into the program, 47 families have been able to set up sustainable business’s enabling them to dig themselves out of poverty and 10,000 tins of formula milk have been distributed to families with young children in desperate need.
Research Partnership is proud to support such a fantastic charity and over the past year (which marked our 20th year anniversary), employees have grouped together and organised a wealth of fundraising activities. Employees across the globe contributed and participated in bake sales, coffee mornings, lunches, book sales, raffles and even a run to raise a fantastic amount of money to support this wonderful charity. We are absolutely thrilled to have been able to raise an impressive $6k and with the company’s generous donation on top of our raised amount we have sent a total cheque for $10,000 to Forever Angels!
The work that Forever Angels are doing is truly commendable, we are proud to have been able to help the charity continue to support thousands of lives in Tanzania, and will continue to support Forever Angels in the future.
