We are delighted to be exhibiting and presenting two papers at the EphMRA Annual Conference, June 25 – 27, in London. Representing Research Partnership are Senior Director, Tom Winter as well as Directors Paul Reed and Roy Rogers. Tom Winter will co-present ‘Breaking down barriers: How market research can help to address disparities in HIV Prevention’ on Wednesday, June 26, 13.20 – 13.55 with Bismay Mishra, Gilead Sciences.
Using a recent case study example of a project conducted in the US, Canada and Europe with respondents involved in working among, interacting with, and advocating for underserved communities, each with unique perspective, Tom and Bismay will outline how market research was able to identify who the underserved populations for PrEP are, the specific barriers they faced, and provide actionable recommendations that Gilead could work with to drive better access to PrEP among these communities. They will also outline how the insights were used to inform a wide range of initiatives at Gilead – some direct and others that involved partnering with other organizations – including the communication of research findings directly with communities facing challenges to help engage with them and encourage open dialogue.
Paul Reed will present ‘Patient social media influencers: The future of healthcare. Why the industry needs influencer engagement strategies’ on Tuesday, June 25, 16.45 – 17.20. In his presentation, Paul will explore the changing digital behaviors of healthcare influencers and consider what impact this is having on evolving omnichannel marketing strategy. He will demonstrate how market research can help to identify, profile, map and engage healthcare influencers with different levels of reach and followers so that pharma can guide the online conversation in channels where they have less control. Finally, he will outline why and how you need to use different approaches depending on the condition, whether an HCP or patient influencer, whether a macro or micro influencer. Joining the conversation will be a patient influencer to talk about their journey, the key role that pharma plays in their lived experience and how pharma can better support them in advocating for better care and support for their condition.
