Research Partnership publishes 2016 Living with RA reports

Research Partnership publishes 2016 Living with RA reports

Research Partnership has published new Living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) EU and US market reports for 2016.

Living with RA is a quantitative study conducted online amongst 500 patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 5 EU markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK) and 500 patients in the US. The findings have been analysed and the resulting insights compiled in two comprehensive graphical reports which are now available to buy.

The reports are intended to help pharmaceutical companies with products in this disease area get a deeper understanding of patient attitudes, behaviours and future needs, as well as understand patient relationships with healthcare professionals and their current treatment programmes, including biologic and biosimilar use.

RA is a progressive and debilitating disease which affects around 3 million people in Europe. The RA market is about to undergo significant changes in the next few years as newer entrants with novel modes of action compete with established brands, and biosimilars become accepted for use as cheaper alternatives to the branded biologics.

Findings from the Living with RA study highlight continued roadblocks around time to diagnosis, impact on working life, time to initiate on a biologic and adherence with medication.

Head of Living with, Heather Desmet commented, “These reports provide comprehensive, quantitative insights into patient behaviours. A segmentation analysis was also carried out and provides subscribers with distinct patient profiles for targeting.”

Living with RA is just one in a series of reports offering comprehensive insight into the chronic disease patient journey from pre-diagnosis to stabilisation. Living with Crohn’s EU and PsA EU reports are due to be published at the end of June. Other therapy areas will be launched later in the year, including Alzheimer’s, depression, lupus (SLE) and MS, amongst others.

More detailed findings from the study can be provided from Heather Desmet on heatherd@researchpartnership.com.
