June was a month of fundraising for The Research Partnership, whose employees were helping our charity Forever Angels raise money to transport a container of essential goods to their baby home in Tanzania.
The social committee organised a series of fun games and activities to encourage employees to get people involved. Events included a quiz night, where staff were tested on their knowledge of RP colleagues; a silent auction, with donated gifts sold to the highest bidder; and a logo competition, where employees were invited to take a photo of our logo in unusual surroundings.
As well as raising over £420 for Forever Angels, this initiative has taught us a lot of interesting and unusual things about the people who work at The Research Partnership. For example, did you know that our founding Director Mark Jeffery is related to George Stephenson – the father of the railways? Who would have guessed that Mark Braund appeared on TV to talk about elk-hunting in Sweden? And who knew that Emilie Mandin made such tasty apple crumbles? Her cooking is so good the dessert was auctioned off 8 times, raising over £40 for the baby home.
Our colleague Mark Braund’s step-brother recently visited the charity and asked the children if they would participate in the logo competition. They immediately rose to the challenge and we were delighted to receive these gorgeous photographs.
The Research Partnership is proud to support Forever Angels and wishes them continued success with their important work.
