Founding Partner shortlisted for business award second year running

Founding Partner shortlisted for business award second year running

1st July 2009

Mary Assimakopoulus, Founding Director of The Research Partnership, has been shortlisted for the prestigious First Women Awards for the second year running.

The First Women Awards, held in association with Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets, were established to recognise:

  • Women who are trailblazers and pioneers in business; genuine "glass ceiling breakers". The First Women Awards are not just for general business achievement.
  • Women whose achievements/"firsts" and individual actions have helped and are helping to remove barriers and open up opportunities for others to follow.

Mary was shortlisted in the Science and Technology category for her instrumental role in developing and launching an innovative research tool into the pharmaceutical industry and for championing women in her employ throughout her career.

The winner of the Award was Paula Bell, Group Finance Director of Ricardo Plc. Congratulations to her and the other shorlisted candidates from The Research Partnership.

More information about the Awards can be found here.
