Junior Marketing Executive

Your experience:

The position would suit a Marketing Administrator/Assistant who is now looking for that next role which will provide more exposure to creative, hands-on tasks across the marketing mix. Alternatively you could be a newly graduated self-starter looking to take your first step on the marketing career ladder. If the latter, it would be preferred if you could demonstrate some commercial office experience which may have been gained through a work placement as part of your University course.

Your primary role:

You will assist the Marketing and Communications Manager with the implementation of B2B marketing activities across four international offices.

  

Key tasks

 

  • Events – Assist with the marketing and logistics of the company’s busy events programme, encompassing trade exhibitions, corporate hospitality and our annual flagship conference in Singapore. This involves forward planning, sourcing venues, liaising with external suppliers, drafting copy for promotional materials and managing all delegate administration.
  • E-marketing – Assist with planning and implementing our e-campaigns. Draft e-copy, source and identify target audience lists and use our analytical package to report on click-through and open rates
  • Internal communications – Co-ordinate our quarterly staff awards programme, and manage the development of our corporate intranet with responsibility for updating content, and training and engaging staff
  • Website - Help upload appropriate written and visual content to the corporate website, liaise with website supplier as required, manage leads and enquiries generated through the site, and use Google analytics to produce regular reports outlining visitor stats
  • Customer feedback survey – Manage the process of obtaining feedback from our clients and produce six-monthly analytical reports for Directors
  • CRM - Update and clean data on our CRM database, record all marketing activity on the database and use the database to produce targeted mailing lists for our campaigns
  • Sourcing and selecting promotional merchandise – Research catalogues and websites to source appropriate corporate merchandise, liaise with suppliers, negotiate costs, co-ordinate delivery
  • Marketing collateral – Help produce promotional flyers, develop PowerPoint credentials, produce sales aids such as experience sheets, and source appropriate photography and images
  • Competitor analysis  - Review competitor websites and read industry news/material to produce regular competitor reports
  • Ad hoc projects – Support the Marketing Manager on various other projects as and when required such as assisting with our webinar programme, PR activities, Social media activities (LinkedIn, Twitter) etc
  • General Admin - All marketing activities will need to be underpinned by effective admin which will include routine tasks such as photocopying, filing information, processing invoices, dealing with telephone queries etc. 

 

Essential skills and knowledge

 

  • You must be degree educated. Whilst a marketing degree would be advantageous, your degree subject is not especially important but must be an academic discipline which has nurtured analytical and creative   thinking
  •  An interest and understanding of online marketing techniques
  • As your role evolves your copywriting responsibilities will increase, so you should be able to undertake such tasks with limited supervision and produce work which requires minimal editing. Therefore you must be highly literate with excellent writing skills and a strong grasp of grammar (tested at interview)
  • You must be flexible and able to adapt well to changing demands
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to managing multiple tasks
  • Must be a proactive, motivated, “ideas” person as you will be encouraged to suggest new approaches and generate solutions which will streamline and refine our working practices
  • Meticulous with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel

 

Desirable Skills

  • DTP skills with knowledge and experience of programmes such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • HTML design skills with experience and understanding of CSS good practice
  • Experience of video production


 

Research Executive

Your experience:

Graduate with 1 to 2 years market research or fieldwork experience (ideally healthcare but could be consumer).  Commitment to client service and “getting the job done”.  Strong verbal and written communication.  Attention to detail.  Ability to multi task.

Your primary role:

As a part of a project team, you will be responsible for the running of at least 2 projects concurrently on a daily basis.  This will involve briefing of, liaison and negotiation with subcontractors (fieldwork agencies, freelance transcribers, analysers and interviewers); you will conduct face to face and telephone interviews with key respondents; manage central locations; conduct on the spot analysis as well as other qualitative and quantitative analysis (editing, coding and table checking).  You will help prepare sections of the final client presentation. You will provide feedback to your Research Manager as well as regular updates to the client.

 


 

Senior Research Executive

Your experience:

 Graduate with more than two years experience in market research (ideally healthcare but could be consumer).  Strong project management skills.  Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.  Attention to detail.

Your primary role:

Your role will be to oversee the smooth running of fieldwork, analysis and data processing.  With input from your manager you will be writing guides and questionnaires as well as being involved in proposal writing.  You will conduct depth interviews with key respondents and manage central locations with clients present.  You will analyse the findings, helping to write the presentation with input from your manager.  Your job also involves ongoing monitoring of job costs to meet budgets as well as managing junior members of your project team.

 


 

Research Manager

Your experience:

3 to 4 years experience in market research with healthcare experience.  Appreciation of marketing / client side issues.  Self-motivated and able to work independently.  Good communication skills.  Ability to multi task under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Your primary role:

Your responsibilities will include managing 2 to 3 projects at a time, plus the associated project teams to meet objectives, whilst providing the main point of contact with the client.  You will write proposals, help design and implement the project that you will then run on a daily basis.  You will update your Director and prepare and present the majority of client presentations.  You will seek to develop your own client base by building relationships with your clients. You will support senior management in recruitment, training and management of junior staff, as well as developing and implementing internal company procedures.

 


 

Associate Director

Your experience:

 5 to 6 years experience in market research with significant healthcare experience.  Ability to generate sales and build own client base.

Your primary role:

Your responsibilities will be to build business individually and in conjunction with key Directors and to achieve sales targets by generating rfps and developing good relationships with clients.  You will manage projects and project teams as well as a research team.  You will write proposals, calculating the research cost with agreement from Director as well as writing and giving client presentations.  Team leader responsibilities will involve conducting appraisals, pay reviews, monitoring of performance, personal development and training of staff.
