Jennifer SummersJob title: Junior Research Executive
|
Hi, my name is Jennifer Summers and I am a Junior Research Executive for The Research Partnership, working in the London office.
I joined The Research Partnership as I was looking for a career that would allow me to put the research skills I gained at university into practical use, as well as giving me opportunities to progress and develop within a thriving company. I also wanted to be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic working team, and I have found that RP provides me with all of this!
I’m always doing something different at work, which is great. I help out with all stages of the research process; from the initial proposals and quote requests, to helping verify questionnaires and finally conducting analysis. We also have lots of training, which means we are constantly learning new things and further developing our skills.
I am currently involved in a number of projects using both quantitative and qualitative research techniques, in different markets across the world, which means the work I am doing is always varied and interesting.
For example, one project I am working on right now is a quantitative study of Acute Coronary Syndrome across Europe and Canada, using online questionnaires to gather information regarding patient flow and GP prescribing behaviour, whilst another is using in depth interviews to analyse the treatment of isolated systolic hypertension in USA and Germany.
I love the diverse nature of my job, and it is great to be part of a growing company that is still able to maintain close working relationships and a personal service. RP also organises regular social events which are a great way to get to know the whole team, and makes the company a really great place to work.
I would like to progress to a senior or managerial research role within RP, and would love to combine overseas travel with my work.
I would definitely recommend it! RP offers a range of interesting and challenging roles, with lots of opportunities to progress in your career. The comprehensive training means you are always learning new skills, but the relaxed and friendly working environment means RP is still always an enjoyable place to work.
