Christin Jaehnke

Job title: Research Executive
Location: London office

Hi, my name is Christin Jaehnke and I am a Research Executive at The Research Partnership. I am located in our London Office, and have been working at The Research Partnership for over 2 years.

Why did you join The Research Partnership?

Apart from my personal interest in the pharmaceutical industry, The Research Partnership itself, compared to its competitors, has attracted my attention due to: its innovative approach to research; its international presence; its young and dynamic work force; the various training courses that are being offered and the great career opportunities within the company.

What are your main responsibilities at The Research Partnership?

I am managing JREs, which entails overseeing fieldwork management and delegating and checking various project related tasks. I am also directly managing agencies myself if required. I am involved in developing materials for the research, such as writing sections or making changes to the discussion guide or questionnaire. Once the research has kicked off, I am moderating respondents or am attending central locations (mainly across Europe) to quality control the research, simultaneously analysing and managing clients or local affiliates on the day. Once the research has been completed, I am supporting the team while writing qualitative slides or charting quantitative charts. Apart from project related tasks, I am also providing training courses to our new grads, which is a very enjoyable way to share knowledge with our new starters.

What is an average day like for you?

The best thing about working at The Research Partnership is that there is no average day routine. This job is so multifaceted that you always have times with a different focus. This way you never get bored and you can develop a very varied set of skills while working with different teams and on different projects. Days can vary from travelling around Europe, focusing on getting a presentation done, moderating physicians to organising fieldwork and managing agencies across the world. No matter which task is dominating your day, you know that next week can look completely different!

What are you working on right now?

Right now my main focus is on a big 11 market quantitative project. This projects differs to normal quantitative studies as it has an interesting twist to it: we are adding a 20 minute qualitative interview part to some of the interviews. This will enable us to provide the client with a more detailed insight into the answers of the online questionnaire, by adding the depth of qualitative research to the practicality of a quantitative methodology.

What is the best thing about your job?

This is a hard question! I think it is the multifaceted nature of the job: From working with different project teams for every study, to working on qualitative as well as quantitative projects across the world, this job is offering so much variety that you never get bored and additionally enables you to develop a wide range of skills.

What does the future have in store for you?

Thanks to the great and clearly structured career opportunities at The Research Partnership, I know that my future here is not limited but wide open and in my own hands. I have no doubt that my own ambition coupled with the continuous support and encouragement of my colleagues will guide me in the right direction.

What would you say to anyone seeking a position at The Research Partnership?

If you are a passionate and ambitious worker, then The Research Partnership will not fall short of providing you with plenty of opportunities to grow. The training courses and the ‘hands on’ working culture (which comes with a lot of confidence and support from the rest of your team) will help you improve and develop within the company. And when it comes to colleagues, you could not wish to work with nicer people!
